Review:Phaedra is a disturbed young woman. In and out of institutions since adolescence, she's battled the demons in her mind with varying degrees of success. When the voices win and she hurts herself, Dr. Allen Ryder's clinic is her sanctuary. On her way to recovery, Phaedra is nearly raped. Her attacker is found with his throat ripped out, drowning in his own blood. Yet Phaedra is chained and drugged unconscious. The war within rages and Allen can't stop himself from caring more than he should, but will it be enough to save her life?
I was creeped out for three days after I read Flesh. To be fair I am a giant wimp, but there is very little romance presented in this story. It sets up for a possible romance in the future but misses the trademarks for romantic fiction. Is it good horror? Absolutely. Ms. Glisan's characters are disturbing and well developed especially for such a short picture into the ongoing story. Her bio says she loves horror and it shows in the well written story. On the romance side, I give Flesh two flames because the completed series might have more romantic tones later. The horror side of it, I'm too much of a pansy to accurately rank it, but it scared the heck out of me.

Review:Old souls, Regin and Gavin don't know what they are missing until they findeach other. Regin is on the run from a serial killer who nearly murdered heryears earlier. Gavin is a friend of a friend who agrees to watch out for Reginwhile she is on her latest research tour. Deep in the Louisiana bayou, memoriesbegin to return to each of them; tragic and terrifying for Regin, eye openingand longing-filled for Gavin. When the serial killer gets close and peoplestart to die, Regin will have to remember her past lives if any of them are to survive the ancient evil that pursues.

I love when paranormal weaves well into life as we can imagine and Ms. Stadiferdoes that with Familiar Strangers. Gavin is the sort of dominant, strong, aggravating man that warms me right up and every scene with him in it was great.Unfortunately when he's not present the filling got a little slow for me. Iloved the supporting characters, Caprice, Damon and Lee were all veryinteresting in their own rights. The villains were dark and scary which isalways huge in a paranormal of any kind. I give Familiar Strangers four flames. It's an interesting read I think most people will enjoy it.

Review:
Stavros and Caine love their mate, the human princess that completes them but while political unrest grows, so does the pressure to make her a werewolf, like them. Stavros is all for making Abigail one of them and can't understand why Caine insists on waiting. Worse, his brother is beginning to pull back from the relationship and making Abigail fear they no longer want her.Caine's issue is submission. To be a wolf, the human princess they adore will first have to submit to their will. It is imperative if she is to make the change and be safe from the volatile female wolf she could become. Caine loves her, but fears hurting her in the steps necessary to make her their mate forever. A born submissive, Abigail must change his mind.
I had a heck of a time leaving my computer once I started reading The Wolves' Submissive. It is a short story and in a different sort of reality but Ava Rose Johnson keeps to the important issues at hand and like I said, I couldn't look away. The sex scenes are hot and rough but always affectionate. Once the submission training starts there's even more love between the three and I'm glad there were some things left undone because I want to read more as soon as possible. I give The Wolves' Submissive five smacks. You should read it and tomorrow is probably a good day.

Every August Catee heads north to meet with her mystery man. He's tall, dark and handsome and the only man she wants. Every year she falls more and more for him but hitting thirty has her needing more than hot, sensual passion. Jem is a werewolf who loves being what he is so much he's losing touch with his human side and only makes the exception for Catee. Can she change his mind and put him back in touch with the man inside?

I loved it. Playing Lycan Games was short, hot with unexpected explanations that made it very interesting to read. Catee feels like any regular woman feeling her clock tic and the chances she takes with Jem who is unbelievably sexy are the kind that make me smile. It's hot and fast but there is a lot of love and affection, all invariably important when a story is so short. I gave it four smacks and think most people would really enjoy it.

Sheila writes romance but doesn't have it in her real life. Her editor wants her to write erotica but she honestly doesn't know where to start. Then Lucien walks into her book signing. He's twenty years her junior and his invite for coffee is not only sincere but full of heat. She's drawn to him and the sexy promises he has no trouble making and keeping. But when he seems a little… more, Sheila starts to question exactly who and what Lucien is even as she is drawn deeper into his life.

I am a fan of any vampire book that makes their source of sustenance more creative and sexy than blood. Vampires with an absolute need to go down on their partner is ingenious to me. Ms. Neely drew me right in and there was nothing I didn't like about Wicked Destiny. The back-up characters were sexy and interesting and I would have been happy to read the story all day long, but for such a shortie it had everything to keep me a happy camper. I give Wicked Destiny five smacks because I think anyone who likes short and hot will love it. It's a quick read and worth every sweaty minute.

Marissa is a princess born and raised, on her way to her wedding. Bardak is captain of her guards. When an evil plot leads to their caravan being overtaken and destroyed, Marissa and her maid are at the mercy of a minor wizard and his devious companions. A magic spell meant to make them pliant and willing backfires and instead of being mindless zombies, Marissa and Bardak exchange
bodies. Still hell bent on protecting the princess, even in her physically weak body, Bardak fights and schemes to keep them all alive while Marissa struggles to maintain her identity inside Bardak's masculine body.

Prisoner of Gender was a surprise. It was graphic and violent so not for those who are looking for a gentle story. There is humor in the characters finding the pitfalls of the opposite sex and literally walking in another's shoes. Mr. Bushore kept an intriguing balance between the humor and horrors and I enjoyed it. Not everyone will find it to their taste but I give it four flames because it was an interesting book and those aren't always easy to find.
