Review:Phaedra is a disturbed young woman. In and out of institutions since adolescence, she's battled the demons in her mind with varying degrees of success. When the voices win and she hurts herself, Dr. Allen Ryder's clinic is her sanctuary. On her way to recovery, Phaedra is nearly raped. Her attacker is found with his throat ripped out, drowning in his own blood. Yet Phaedra is chained and drugged unconscious. The war within rages and Allen can't stop himself from caring more than he should, but will it be enough to save her life?

I was creeped out for three days after I read Flesh. To be fair I am a giant wimp, but there is very little romance presented in this story. It sets up for a possible romance in the future but misses the trademarks for romantic fiction. Is it good horror? Absolutely. Ms. Glisan's characters are disturbing and well developed especially for such a short picture into the ongoing story. Her bio says she loves horror and it shows in the well written story. On the romance side, I give Flesh two flames because the completed series might have more romantic tones later. The horror side of it, I'm too much of a pansy to accurately rank it, but it scared the heck out of me.

He’ll just have to make himself indispensable to the hot lieutenant and hope like hell he survives the whole ordeal with his heart where it belongs.

Review- Shiela Stewart’s characters are well drawn and compelling. Though I have not read the other books in her Darkness series, I had no problem jumping into her world, and what a world. Eye candy abounds in Jacob’s Cove where vampires rule, demons work and party freely, and one human cop has to figure out how to survive in a town replete with beings he never knew existed. Lieutenant Storm is hot, stubborn, and vulnerable, and Detective Powers represents every girl’s fantasy. What guy could resist a woman in tight black leather who knows what she wants and goes after it? Too bad she isn’t so sure she wants the unbelievably hot detective. Nathan Powers is sweet and sexy – he worries about his mother without being a mama’s boy, he takes care of Sienna’s puppy without expecting favors in return, and he makes love like a dream. I look forward to finding the time to read my way through the rest of the Darkness series.

The sheriff, Garrett Daniels, all tall, dark and handsome, is easily her match. Together they deal with witchy happenings and a deadly, psycho dad. Can’t ask for much more in a short story! And the sensuality level was off the charts! Definitely a must read!

Review- Jennifer Robins creates a complex tale of mystery in What Happened to Anna. The plot is intricate and the setting believable. The author’s use of details paints a fairly clear picture and at times a glimmer of Ms. Robins’ potential shines through. Unfortunately, the story falls flat in places. The sentence structure is choppy and the characters are often stiff. I had high hopes for this work as the blurb and the teaser line, “Content warning: seductively handsome demons, hauntingly beautiful ghosts, and just the right amount of scares,” promised an intriguing read, and Renee Rocco’s cover art is stunning. However, What Happened to Anna proves I really can’t judge a book by its cover. Although there were moments of quality, overall the novel proved disappointing.

Review- As a female reviewer I worried that I would not be able to project myself into an all male love story. The author quickly proved me wrong. Jaye Valentine drew me into this fun and bizarre world with ease. Spencer is intelligent, amusing, a little insecure, and all around likable; Virgil is tender, sweet, and very much the protective, romantic hero. Throw in a few vamps, mermaids, and other miscellaneous legends and Damn Gorgeous creates a delightful romp with mythology.

Despite the publisher’s rating, I would prefer not to call this heat level erotic. I say this for two reasons. Though one intimate scene was fairly explicit, overall they lack the details required to be truly erotic. The drawback to calling this writing erotic lies with the readers. Those who are looking for that level of heat may be disappointed, and those who shy away from extreme specificity will miss out on a charming and well written story.

A wonderful world full of great characters this story is not to be missed. No matter where you look each character is full of depth and Sydney Somers has the reader glued to the story turning the pages to find out just what happens next. Kennedy is a great heroine so full of strength and Tristan is a great Alpha male all brooding and full of fight. Yet he is so kind and loving to Kennedy it is a wonderful thing to see. The bond that grows between the two is a beautiful thing to read. Each one of them ready to fight for the other and ready to do what ever is needed even if it means their own death. Primal Hunger is a great book. Sydney Somers brings the reader into her wondrous world and never lets you go. With her great Alpha males and strong females you cannot go wrong. This story had me from the first page. I truly loved the world she created for these characters and cannot wait to read the next installment in the gargoyle series.

Have you ever read something and you were left speechless? The good kind of speechless? Well, that is how I am feeling right now. I’m not sure that words could do this story or this author justice. Marty and Max are two incredible characters, Carpe Noctem is a vampire lovers wet dream! Max is sexy!!! I feel in love with him the moment I met him (if only in real life…sigh) and he kept charming me. Marty is a woman on a mission. Secondary characters can be tricky to pull off in a story, especially one so short, but Ms. Valentine did a wonderful job. The secondary characters played a major role in this story. The tension, the twists, the turns, will take your breath away. The reader will never expect the next wave of desire and the sex will blow your mind and leave you panting for more. I just can’t say enough about this story and I just can’t express in words how much I loved it!

Hands down my favorite paranormal story of 2009!! If you don’t check this story out…and you are a paranormal reader…than it’s your loss. You won’t read a story like this again!

Gavin is the sort of dominant, strong,aggravating man that warms me right up and every scene with him in it was great.Unfortunately when he's not present the filling got a little slow for me. Iloved the supporting characters, Caprice, Damon and Lee were all veryinteresting in their own rights. The villains were dark and scary which isalways huge in a paranormal of any kind. I give Familiar Strangers four flames.It's an interesting read I think most people will enjoy it.

Her characters are well drawn; her story is believable, funny and clever; and the chemistry between the main characters is naughty and incredibly sexy. My only problem was that I wanted more. Ms. Simone’s short story is definitely worth the read if you’re looking for a tasty bit of Halloween delight.

Review- Were I to rate this novel on story alone, I would give it a much higher rating. J.O. Parks creates an inventive tale filled with intrigue. The two main characters are likable and complex. Unfortunately, the technical problems overshadow the interesting moments. Hunter’s Moon reads like a first draft. Readers’ heads will spin as they leap from one point of view to the next. Lack of punctuation and incorrect word choices often left me confused and forced to look back at the previous paragraph in an effort to understand who was speaking and what he or she actually meant to say. If you really love shape shifter stories with a bit of mystery, you might want to give Hunter’s Moon a try, but honestly, I’d pass.

She’s a strong character. For someone to say this book is strictly sex they would be sadly mistaken. There is a log going on that doesn’t have to do with sex. Kelsie has to please her aunt and make her feel at ease with the home so that the exorcist won’t get rid of her ghosts. If you’re a fan of paranormal or erotica tales than this story will blow you away!

Opposites Attract is a very satisfying read on many levels. First, you have the incredible characters. Second, you have the unique plot, and last, the steamy scenes between Jason and Gail. Both characters are very rounded and very different than most characters in other paranormal books. These two characters seem so real to me, they are easy to relate to…well other than the paranormal part of their make. But the way they act towards one another and what lies ahead of them. They jump off the page at you and hold your attention until the very end. It’s a great book and the author Mary Alice Pritchard did an extraordinary job, she’s a new author to me and I can’t wait to see more from her in the future.

It starts out with the main character working at her dig and then her “dream” comes true. I loved the way it all tied together in the end. Travel with Goldie and she searches for the lost tablets. The characters were very interesting and each played their part in true form. I gave this book a 4.5. I would recommend this book for everyone to read. Very sexy love scenes. If you love fairy tales, you'll love the twist this author gives the story.. Find out which love interest is too hard, too soft, and just right!!

I was intrigued right from the beginning where Cade loses the love of his life. Ms. MacRae does a wonderful job of adding emotion to the story which is hard to find in many short stories. She writes in a way that is informative and attention capturing. I felt like Cade dealt with some very real emotions such as grief, denial and acceptance. I give this book a rating of 4 only because at times it seemed to move a bit fast but with a short, it's almost inevitable. I would have loved to see this book in a longer form so I could have gotten to know the characters better. I recommend this book to all who need their daily literary fix of an emotion filled read. This book covers a lot in a very short amount of time. Kudos to Ms. MacRae for telling such a wonderful story that grips the heart and leaves a smile.

I enjoyed this book, it was highly erotic, well-written but with just enough romantic elements that I crave to make a story succeed for me. I especially enjoyed the character building of the males, Chad and Philippe, their emotions and personalities were both believable and sensual. Chad had issues that his mortality would forever chain him to and Philippe came into the story damaged but willing to start a new life as both a submissive to Chad and companion/protector to Katie. My only regret was that Chad’s transition from mortality to vampirism was glossed over. For me, it’s all about the details. I know this book is part of a series so perhaps the author went into greater detail about this transitioning elsewhere. Regardless, this was a emotional, sensual read and didn’t disappoint.

This is the 8th book in the Argeneau family series and in this book I think you get a better look and a better understating at how the Argeneau family works together as a team and how they support one another. You also get a look at how the elders treat Thomas and they don’t really expect too much out of him. Then they are surprised when he finds his lifemate and they are impressed with his efforts of finding Margarite, who is presumed missing. Inez and Thomas are so different. Inez likes everything to go as planned. Before she makes a decision she has to weigh all of her options. Thomas on the other hand is free-spirited and rolls with the flow, so to say. He’s more outgoing and he doesn’t care what others think of him. I think it rings true when they say opposites attract. Thomas is perfect for Inez; he teaches her that it’s okay to not know what is going to happen the next day. And Inez brings a little structure into Thomas’s life. It’s by far a great story by Lynsay Sands; it’s charming and sexy.

First let me start by saying that this was a book full of laughter and wit between the characters. You have a grumpy 600-year-old vampire who writes romances. This family isn’t your typical family of vampires and they aren’t the typical vampires you see in movies and read in most books. They are unique and they have a very fascinating story about how they became vampires. If you want to find out read the books. The entire series is to DIE for. I really enjoyed the mix of emotions in this story; it was fully of passion, humor, and a great deal of desire. The secondary characters in the book played a major role; at times you would consider them to be major in the story. You can see now why there are so many books in this series, it’s a large family and even when the characters pop up in another story they desperately want there own. They want the readers to hear their story.

Surviving With Love was one of those kinds of books that have it all. The action, well rounded characters, gripping plot line and a lot of sexual tension made this book one of the best books that I have ever read. The imagery was breathtaking and I actually felt as though I were there. Stacey's character was a little spitfire who was used to working alone and doing things her way. Cord's character was strong, stubborn and oh so sexy. Seriously, you will fall in love with Cord. Who wouldn't love an ex-marine who had a gift with children? From a powerful beginning to a captivating ending, this book was certainly a page turner. Ms. Vickery has done a magnificent job with Surviving With Love. I was shocked to find out this was her first book and believe me, just reading it, it will blow you away! She smoothly weaves humor with drama and gives the reader just what they crave, a captivating read that holds your attention with memorable characters that will not soon be forgotten. I not only enjoyed the book immensely but learned about an occupation I never knew existed. Throughout the book you will learn just what a tracker does and how they operate. It was truly fascinating. I strongly suggest you take a moment, buy the book and set aside some time for yourself. You will love this book and will hate to see this book end. There is nothing better than losing yourself in a thrilling and riveting love story. I give this book 5 smacks because it simply does not get better than this.

She's a devoted mother, a consummate hostess, and Hawke's perfect allure.

In fact if I have one quibble with this book it's that the development of Sage and Hawke's relationship felt a bit uneven to me. I found myself longing for more direct interaction and development between them through the first half of the book. Much seems to happen internally and off stage rather than in direct, one-on-one interaction. These are two deserving characters. I wanted to see more of their growth and interaction so I'd be even more invested in the outcome.The second half of the book is a total thrill ride – Sage and her daughter Pia (who have the most wonderful, heart-stealing rapport) face an enormous challenge, and Hawke's caring heart and devotion helps them pave the way through the difficulties presented and leaves the reader a happy and much longed for resolution.
Kudos, Ms. Drake – when can I visit the Thistle Dew Inn??

Valkyrie a vampire must leave her home of the forest with her son Anthony a dhampir to save him. He must have some of his fathers’ blood or he will die. They must venture into the city to find his father. A human she has not seen in years. Once there they must learn to fit into the human world go through many trials.

This story was well written and was interesting all the way to the end. Nice to see the main character of Valkyrie (the female vampire) having doubts and being scared instead of the usual vamp female who gets every man she sees. I enjoyed the interaction between her and her son Anthony as well. He had the typical adolescent reactions to all he learns when they are in the human world. Being a mother myself I sympathized with Valkyrie when she and her son argued.The two go through many adventures in the city and at one point they are separated and Valkyrie must ask humans for help. Once she finds a man that she thinks is Anthonys’ father she must enlist his help in finding her son.

Valkyries struggles with what she is and how to be more human were interesting to say the least. She must learn to act human and how to interact with others without turning into a monster. Many trials await her in this story. There are many twists in this book, some you see coming and others take you by surprise.I gave this book a 3.5 because it kept you guessing to the end and kept the reader entertained till the last page. The plot was continuous and never repetitive.
Angela Lam Turpin did a good job with descriptions and character depth. Even with it’s many characters and places this story was never confusing and always had the reader turning the page for more.

Andi can’t forgive Darren for letting her die. Ok, he brought her back after he captured the bad guy, but a thing like that is a deal breaker for her. Now, five years later, she’s in the detective in charge of a magical drug bust, and Darren is the only one with the skills to help her before more people die.

This is a good story about love the second time around. Everyone makes mistakes, and Darren has made a great big one but Cari Z has brought us a character who is not one to just forgive and forget and move on. Andi doesn’t give her heart easily and hasn’t been able to take it back at all. Having to work with someone who has hurt a girl that badly is just, ouch! (Been there, done that) And of course we all root for Darren to be much more than he seems. I recommend this story, the scenes flowed from one to the next in a way that made it very hard to put down. I always love a story where the heroine can hold her own with the big boys, and hold onto her femininity. I’d gladly read any more stories that Cari wants to give us with these characters or any more she’d like to share.

The sex scenes are hot and rough but always affectionate. Once the submission training starts there's even more love between the three and I'm glad there were some things left undone because I want to read more as soon as possible. I give The Wolves' Submissive five smacks. You should read it and tomorrow is probably a good day.

I enjoyed this story a great deal. Kieren and Emily are likeable (and sexy!) characters with depth. I cheered for them and their future from the moment they met, hoping they would find a way to have a happily ever after.
The other members of the Enclave were well developed and interesting enough that I wanted to know what would happen with them in the future. I hope Ms. Lee will include them in future stories, particularly Arran and Gabrielle.
Overall, Desire to Die For is a romantic, adventurous Vampire Paranormal, and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre.

It's hot and fast but there is a lot of love and affection, all invariably important when a story is so short. I gave it four smacks and think most people would really enjoy it.

The back-up characters were sexy and interesting and I would have been happy to read the story all day long, but for such a shortie it had everything to keep me a happy camper. I give Wicked Destiny five smacks because I think anyone who likes short and hot will love it. It's a quick read and worth every sweaty minute.

Not everyone will find it to their taste but I give it four flames because it was an interesting book and those aren't always easy to find.
